Borger Crane Hire Instrumental in Luke Bowen Bridge Project
Borger Crane Hire and Rigging, in collaboration with joint venture partners Ferrovial and Gamuda, has successfully positioned the Luke Bowen Bridge, a critical component of the Coffs Harbour Bypass project in New South Wales. This new pedestrian bridge spans a total of eight cranes across the Pacific Highway and two local roads. Both the Australian and New South Wales Governments are making significant investments in this 14-kilometre project, which aims to enhance the regional economy and improve connectivity, road transport efficiency, and safety for both local and interstate motorists.
The joint venture between Gamuda and Ferrovial is executing this substantial work package through a collaborative Design and Construct contract with Transport for NSW. With an emphasis on innovation, efficiency, and value for money, the project encompasses three tunnels, approximately 11 kilometers of new road, and around 3.5 kilometers of upgraded highway.
