CRANES
Mammoet SK 350 crane designed for heavier module lifts The SK 350 is a fully containerized crane with a capacity of 5,000 tons, designed to support larger modular construction projects by enabling the lifting and integration of heavier loads. This advanced crane has made it possible to work with modules weighing 3,000 tons or more, significantly reducing the number of maneuvers, reconfigurations, connections, and the need for work at height. Similar to the SK 190, the SK 350 optimizes site preparation time by utilizing only a portion of its ring when necessary. Its centralized ballast system enhances efficiency while maintaining a compact footprint that minimizes disruption to large industrial sites. Since its introduction in 2013, the SK350, with a capacity of 5,000 tons, has achieved numerous world-record lifts for significant oil and gas projects. Its remarkable capacity and a load moment of 354,000 ton-meters—previously the largest globally before the SK10,000 was launched—have paved the way for new opportunities in modular construction. The impressive power and reach of the SK350 enable the lifting of larger modules directly from the fabrication site, significantly reducing the need for additional equipment and minimizing the logistical challenges associated with transporting modules to designated lift locations. The outreach capabilities are further enhanced by a robust jib, allowing for greater operational flexibility and the ability to execute all lifting tasks from a single strategic position, thereby eliminating the need for multiple crane relocations.
