As a second-generation crane professional, he began in crane repair in the late 1980s and later gained experience in manufacturing, including process-flow analysis and quality improvement. Schiller has held leadership positions at major companies He has held executive positions with the top three crane manufacturers in the world; EVP of sales at Liebherr Americas, SVP of the boom truck, rough terrain, military & industrial crane division as well as other roles within the Manitowoc organization, and Chief Marketing Officer at Tadano Ltd. More recently he was the Fractional CEO for HoistCam by Netarus, strategic advisor for several companies including Ribbiot, Meada America and DICA. He has also demonstrated leadership through volunteer roles with the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. Currently, Schiller serves as President at Uperio.
